Terms and conditions:

SAGAS UG Terms and Conditions version 1.0 (valid from 15th of April 2024)


1. SAGAS UG (haftungsbeschränkt) ("Company") is acting as the forwarding agent for the Customer (" Customer"). The Company will receive the orders from the Customer for collecting and packing the Customer’s personal lost and found items ("Items") from the location indicated by the Customer and arrange the Items shipping back using an appropriate carrier ("Carrier"). SAGAS UG is not a courier company and does not offer shipping services by itself. Shipping is the responsibility of the Carrier (DHL, UPS, FedEx etc.)
2. This agreement supersedes all previous agreements, arrangements and undertakings between the parties and constitutes the whole agreement between the Customer and the Company.
3. Any personal information shared by the Customer with the Company is retained under the Company's Privacy Policy.
4. For each parcel the Customer shall provide a full and accurate postal address, including the postcode, contact telephone number, email address and where appropriate, VAT number of the Customer company.
5. For each parcel the tracking number and the online tracking link will be provided by the Company. It is the responsibility of the Customer to track the Items online and accept the Items at the final shipping destination. The Customer should be aware that the deliveries may be attempted outside standard working hours (e.g., 09:00am - 18:00pm).
6. The Company on payment of the relevant packaging material and packaging labour charges will pack the Items to the standard required by the Carrier.
7. The Company collects the Items from the lost and found pick-up location in the condition as they are, packs them and hands them over to the postal service for dispatch. The Company is not responsible for any damages occurred to the Items before, during and after the collection, packing and shipping. The Company is also not responsible for shipment delays, failure to deliver, misdelivery, lost shipments or any damages occurred to Items during the shipping. The Customer should contact the Carrier regarding these matters (more information at Pos. 14)
8. If for some reason the Items are not available for the pick up at the indicated location and time upon the arrival of the Company’s representative, the full prepayment amount will be NOT refunded. If the Customer requests one or more attempts to collect later, additional costs will be charged for this service.
9. The Company reserves the right to refuse or cancel the service for any reason as long as the order is not confirmed and not paid. If for any reason the Company cannot execute the order after the payment, the full prepayment amount will be refunded to the Customer in the period of 7 days.
10. Duty and Taxes are controlled by the country of destination and are subject to change without notice. The Company cannot predetermine the amount of duty and tax for a given shipment. Duty and Taxes as well as other charges including, but not limited to, customs penalties, storage costs, or other expenses incurred as a result of an action by customs or failure by the Customer or the consignee to provide proper documentation or to obtain a required license or permit, will be charged to the Customer. Packages refused by the Customer, or which for any other reason cannot be delivered, will be either abandoned or returned again to the Customer at the Customer's cost.
11. Shipments are delivered to the Customer’s address. There is no obligation to deliver a shipment to the Customer personally. The carrier may deliver a shipment to any other person appearing to have authority to accept delivery of the Shipment on the Customer’s behalf.
12. It is the responsibility of the Customer to inform the Company if a licence or permit is required for transportation, importation, or exportation.
13. The Carrier automatically protects against loss or damage of Items up to a value of EUR 500. If the customer wishes to declare a value greater than EUR 500 for a Items, the Customer should inform the Company about this. The rules relating to liability established by the Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules Relating to International Carriage by Air signed at Warsaw, Poland, on October 12, 1929, and any amendments thereto, may apply to the carriage of international shipments. In connection with a damaged Items, the customer must retain the original packaging until an inspection can be completed by the Carrier or its agent. Reimbursement for loss or damage will require submitting a claim documentation to the Carrier.
14. The Items can not contain any substance that is dangerous or illegal. Below is the list of Dangerous and Prohibited Items:


1. Money (cash - except numismatic/collectable coins and notes, stamps - except philatelic items and negotiable instruments equivalent to cash such as endorsed stocks, bonds, letters of credit and banker’s drafts)
2. Foodstuffs and beverages requiring refrigeration or other environmental control
3. Lottery or other gambling tickets or receipts
4. Perishables
5. Shipments requiring any special licence or permit for transportation, importation or exportation, except where the Customer provides the appropriate licence and subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Carrier
6. Shipments the possession, carriage, importation or exportation of which is prohibited by any law, statute or regulation in the UK, Republic of Ireland or the country of destination
7. Packages that are wet, including wet ice, leaking, or emit an odour of any kind
8. Live animals and insects, household pets and live fish
9. Human corpses, organs or body parts, disinterred human remains, except blood, urine, other liquid diagnostic specimens or cremated human remains
10. Firearms, weaponry, ammunition and their parts
11. Drugs, including prescription drugs

Dangerous (Hazardous) Goods
1. Class One: Explosives
2. Class Two: Gases compressed, liquefied or dissolved under pressure
3. Class Three: Flammable liquids
4. Class Four: Flammable solids
5. Class Five: Oxidising substances and organic peroxides
6. Class Six: Toxic and infectious substances
7. Class Seven: Radioactive material
8. Class Eight: Corrosives
9. Class Nine: Miscellaneous dangerous goods
